12/23/2006- E SURPRISE XMAS APPEARANCE:
E made a surprise appearance at Jon Brion's show Friday night at Los Angeles club Largo, playing "Grace Kelly Blues," "It's a Motherfucker," "Climbing To The Moon," and "Everything's Gonna Be Cool This Christmas." Later in the show E manned the drums, joining Jon, Benmont Tench, and Zooey Deschanel for several Christmas classics and other songs, including "Raspberry Beret" and "Ring Of Fire."

11/9/2006- TOWNSHEND/E/CORGAN LIVE IN LOS ANGELES:
E and The Smashing Pumpkins' Billy Corgan joined The Who's Pete Townshend for a live performance at The Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles, Tuesday night. E played "Dirty Girl," "Railroad Man," "I Need Some Sleep," "Jeannie's Diary," and "Flyswatter," before being joined by Pete Townshend on "It's a Motherfucker," "I Like Birds," Townshend's "Let My Love Open The Door," and The Who's "The Kids Are Alright." 9/30/2006-E ROCKS LARGO: E, Fiona Apple, and NRBQ leader Terry Adams made surprise appearances Friday night during Jon Brion's show at Los Angeles club Largo. E and Jon played "Dirty Girl," "My Beloved Monster" and "Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon" before being joined by legendary NRBQ singer and keyboardist Terry Adams on the EELS' "Not Ready Yet" and NRBQ's "Want You To Feel Good Too." 8/22/2006-WATCH E CHAT & JAM WITH PETE TOWNSHEND: While appearing live at Leeds on the same bill with The Who this summer, E was invited to appear on Pete Townshend and Rachel Fuller's In The Attic internet show, filmed in an airstream trailer parked next to the main stage. E met one of his heroes, chatted about Keith Moon, childhood Who concert experiences, punching out Santa Clause, and sang along with Pete on The Who's "Substitute." They had such a good time with E that they invited him back at Scotland's T In The Park festival, this time playing "I'm One" from Quadrophenia and the EELS' "It's A Motherfucker." 8/22/2006-E ON JONESY'S JUKEBOX THIS FRIDAY: E will appear on ex-Sex Pistol Steve Jones' radio show for the third time in just over a year. 5/25/2006-EELS 2006 TOUR STARTS TONIGHT: The 2006 EELS LIVE AND IN PERSON! NO STRINGS ATTACHED Tour begins tonight with the first of two tour warm-up shows at The Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles. The tour will then wind through the west, midwest and northeast of the United States and Canada on their way to rock Europe and Australia before returning to the states for Chicago's Lollapalooza festival in August and more U.S. dates to be announced soon.
This is the second EELS world tour since the release of their latest studio album, BLINKING LIGHTS AND OTHER REVELATIONS. EELS, who are known to vary widely in sound and lineup from tour to tour, circled the globe twice with the smashingly successful "EELS with strings" tour last year (documented in the new EELS WITH STRINGS LIVE AT TOWN HALL CD & DVD). EELS leader Mark Oliver Everett, aka E says: "We're very happy that everyone's enjoying the Town Hall with strings album and film. It was a great night and tour for us, but that was SO 2005. We're into something a little different now. Blinking Lights is a big album (33 tracks to be exact) and it deserves at least two world tours in its honor."

Most international stores have added different combinations of 2 or 3 of the bonus tracks that have been featured on the U.S. Itunes version of the TOWN HALL album since March. 2/16/2006-EELS PLAY LIVE AT TOWN HALL CONCERT FILM SCREENING:
After the LIVE AT TOWN HALL concert film screening last night in Los Angeles, some of the stars of the film -- E, The Chet, and Big Al -- took the stage for an impromptu three song set, playing Mr. E's Beautiful Blues, Dirty Girl, and I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man for lucky ticket winners. The kids flipped their lids when their ids heard that crazy sound. The string section ladies of EELS Live at Town Hall were in attendance and early reports indicate that a good time was had by all. The Live at Town Hall DVD & CD will both be released February 21st, in case you haven't heard.

1/14/2006-E SURFACES: E made a surprise appearance as part of an impromptu "super group" that included Jon Brion, John Sebastian (The Lovin' Spoonful) and Benmont Tench (Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers) during Jon Brion's show at Los Angeles club Largo Friday night, marking E's first appearance since the last EELS with strings show, October 23rd, in Auckland, New Zealand. E played drums on several songs as Sebastian and Brion manned the guitars and vocals, with Tench on piano. During the set E got out from behind the drums to play guitar and sing "My Beloved Monster" and "I Could Never Take The Place of Your Man" before returning to the drummer's seat. There are no plans for the super group to record at this time.
